The idea for this website sparked when I realized a crucial gap in Douglas. So many talented individuals here offer valuable services and run small businesses, yet many in our community are unaware of them. It struck me that people often need these very services but struggle to find the right person.

Then, the idea grew. I started thinking about the job seekers in Douglas – people with skills and talents that local employers desperately need, but the connection just isn’t being made. Employers might not know these capable individuals exist, and vice versa.

It felt natural to expand further and include upcoming events in Douglas. We have a vibrant community, and a central place to find out what’s happening would be fantastic.
Thinking about visitors to our town from other places, even other countries, made the need even clearer. They might need a local service or want to experience an event. This website, I believe, can make it so much easier for everyone to connect – customers with the right service providers, job seekers with employers, and visitors with the heart of Douglas. Ultimately, I hope this platform will help our local businesses thrive and provide much-needed opportunities for our unemployed residents.
